Gemini Takes Over UNLV!

Awhile back, Juli (former owner of Gemini Arcade Palace when it was open) announced that she got a contract with UNLV to provide arcade games to their student union's arcade. This would be in lieu of the games UNLV previously had provided to them by Pallisades, I believe it was. Accordingly, I'm not certain what happened to the DDR Solo Bass Mix that'd been there but all the previous games were cleared out to prepare for Juli to move her games in. About a month ago, Juli contacted Sean, Danny, and me as well as several of our other friends to help move her games between her storage unit, PSG, and UNLV. Of course, we agreed and went to help with the move when she got everything in order for it a couple of weeks ago. She had us switch out some of the games at PSG, leaving them with DDR (newest), IIDX, Flash Beats, Dance Maniax, ITG2, Bobby's ReRave, and a few other games. Then we took Guitar Freaks, her better ITG2, PIU, Technika, and some other games to UNLV! As usual, Juli insisted on paying us for our efforts. She gave Sean and me each $25 though it'd really been our pleasure to help and we weren't wanting any sort of payment for it. *sighs* Oh well. At least the job was done and UNLV now had an awesome arcade with lots of reasons for us to visit! On 1/20/15, the day after Danny's birthday, the arcade officially reopened for business and we all went down to see it in action! Sean, Danny, and I didn't arrive til afternoon sometime so Juli and many of our friends had already gone but we still saw a lot of friends there including JJ, J-Rose, Magnet, Alex/Prolix, Avery, Gordon, Glow (visiting from Canada), and others! Sean and I played 3 credits together on ITG and even did two 16s despite being insanely out of practice. We also shared a couple of credits on PIU and spent a couple of hours just hanging there with friends. We don't play dance games or play in arcades nearly as often these days but we still can't wait to visit and enjoy this arcade from time to time!!

    1. I haven't been in quite awhile now but both were pretty good when I last visited. :)
