2nd Place Female @ Hoover Dam 5k

2nd place female, 5th place overall in the 5k at the BBSC Hoover Dam Marathon, 1/2, 10k, & 5k this morning! ๐Ÿฅณ I snagged a pretty badass, little trophy for it too! ๐Ÿ˜ I'd forgotten it was at Lake Mead, which charges a $25 entry fee now?, but luckily I had my parks pass handy. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

1st Place in ECS 10.5 Lower with Urza, DDR Cab from John, etc

I was waiting til things in my life calmed down a bit to make this post, but it seems now's actually as good a time as any, so...
Finally back in Vegas after the better part of two months abroad, and though the stack of mail I had waiting here for me was more than a little daunting, the rewards for getting through it and coming home to the other treasures awaiting me here were pretty outstanding. ๐Ÿคฉ My doggies and dedi always top that list, of course, but some pretty freakin ๐Ÿ’ž new additions:

-1st place ECS 10.5 Lower team tournament trophy for my team with Urza this last spring + ECS 10.5 shirt. David Sjรถstrand: doing 26s now, I'm not totally convinced that you even need me these days ๐Ÿ˜†, but I'm so glad that you want and never stop choosing me to beast by your side, even if it's from thousands of miles away atm. Besides, we really do make such a great team. ๐Ÿซ‚Thank you so much to Ian + crew for our trophies and shirts! ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿ™

-DDR cab, pad (he has the other one), and even a Minimaid my friend John Bove just GAVE us FOR FREE. ๐Ÿ˜ณ John: I owe you more than a few fun drinks, nights out (don't say no!), and maybe camping trips for this one. ๐Ÿ˜›❤ Btw, I've already moved the pad inside, between our dedi and Extreme, so I can start modding and prettying it up soon. ๐Ÿ˜ Also, thank you so much to both you and Daniel Gonzales for moving it into the garage for us while Sean and I were overseas!

-SRPG and Stamina Nation tanks and stickers I'd ordered ๐Ÿฅณ

Goodbye, Beatmania

Sold for $1,450 (including storage fee to hold it for awhile) to someone in Seattle with his own, personal, rhythm-game warehouse who had his friend from Game Nest come to pick it up today, we said goodbye to Beatmania after over 11 years. ๐Ÿ‘‹ Time to find a Stepping Stage machine to take it's place? ๐Ÿ‘€

Mustang #2

I've been after a second Mustang for the past week or two now, since my first one's not currently running, and Sean and I realized it'd be much more convenient to have a second vehicle working (besides our Saturn Vue) as both a backup and so we can each go out without worrying about stranding the other. Welp, we got her today! ๐ŸŽ We found her through Facebook Marketplace, being sold for $2.2k from a private seller across town, but Sean offered $1.8k, and the seller was happy with that.

This one's just a 2003 V6 coupe with some scratches and minor flaws as well as nearly 200k miles and a broken AC, but she's gorgeous, she runs great, so clean, black leather interior, and no way she wasn't coming home with us for $1,800. Besides, look how sweet she is, keeping my old GT convertible company in the driveway. ๐Ÿ˜

Near-New, PIU Prex Machine: $1k?!

Pump day, woo woo! ↙️↖️⏹↗️↘️  Sean and I just rented a 10' U-Haul for ~$63 total, including the gas we spent driving it, today and picked up a near-pristine PIU Prex machine, complete with pops and other features you just don't come across often at all, in North Las Vegas! Sean had found the cab listed for sale on OfferUp for >$4k, I believe it was, last week and talked the sellers down to $1k. Apparently, it'd been their son's machine, but he was grown up and living in Texas now, and they were clearing out to move out that way as well. It turns out they'd bought the cab directly from Andamiro back in the day and had been its only owners. In fact, the coin counter was only at 37, and the marquee and parts of the trim still had the film covering on from the factory! Wow. Anyway, we really didn't *need* a second PIU cab, but no one else was buying it, and for that price, we couldn't pass! Besides, there's probably no better arm day than one that ends with a new dance machine. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’ช

And damn, it's been a whirlwind of a past week (yet again)! I feel like it's gone too fast to even quite remember *where* it's gone, but between the NKOTB concert, starting therapy (via zoom, second session was this morning), getting a COVID-19 booster, having a yard sale (several hundred $ profit ๐Ÿคท‍♀️๐Ÿฅณ + donated a fuckton of the scraps), and whatever else we've done, it's been wild. Can't complain!

Vegas with Friends April 2-7, 2022

It's been a whirlwind of a past week with Sean and local and visiting friends including John Bove, Bran/Krushrpants, Joshua Thomas, Dalissa Avila, Daniel Gonzales, Derek Lewis, Zack Maitland, Isis Brule, Robert Frazee, Robert Losito, Juli Gemini, Brandon Chez, Jason Yoddumnern, and lots more new and old faces all over Vegas! From our place to the strip, pubs and bars, out for food, and across town for a peek at the new Red Note arcade here in town, I'm pretty sure Vegas has been painted as red as it's gonna get. Thanks to all the buds here for making it epic, as always! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅณ

Sushi and Fremont with Friends 3/22/22

All-you-can-eat sushi at Super Sushi, Fremont Street, Oddfellows, Techno Taco Tuesday at Lucky Day, dance games at my place, and more a couple of nights ago featuring Sean and the buds Erick Zavaleta, Zack Maitland, Remy Keller, Chris Valentin, and Reggie Lyles!

Erick was in town and spent the today hanging with me at my place where we chatted and played a little DDR and ITG til going for all-you-can-eat sushi and sake across town at 8pm with Zack, Remy, and Chris. Chris and Remy had to go home from there, but Erick and I regrouped with Zack downtown. The three of us enjoyed our fair share of festive beverages between Lucky Day bar on Fremont and Oddfellows around the corner before being joined by Reggie and Sean at Lucky Day. (Sean had been playing PIU at home prior.) It was 2am by the time Sean, Erick, and I headed out together to swing by Erick's friend/client's apartment, where Erick was staying. We hung out there for nearly two more hours, and then Sean and I said goodnight and went home to eat pretty much everything. ๐Ÿ˜† Fun night. I'm doing my best to make nights out with friendly faces a more regular thing.

57th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards

Me to Sean while booking us tickets to this at 1am this morning (as well as pretty much every time I try to get him to do anything with me): "Come on. It'll be funny!"

Artists who performed (in addition to those who just received awards or were in attendance): Dolly Parton & Kelsea Ballerini, Brittney Spencer, Brothers Osborne, Carrie Underwood, Chris Young, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Jordan Davis, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Mitchell Tenpenny, Walker Hayes, Maren Morris, Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton, Parmalee and Blanco Brown featuring Brooke Eden, Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde, Breakthrough Artist for Amazon Music, BRELAND, co-hosts Gabby Barrett and Jimmie Allen, Kelly Clarkson, Lady A and newly announced New Artist winners, Parker McCollum (New Male Artist of the Year) and Lainey Wilson (New Female Artist of the Year)

Bonus stuff:

-Sean claims not to like country, but I'd say we got value with our ~$35 per person tickets regardless!

-Chris Young totally waved at me, and we got pretty close to Thomas Rhett and a few other big names. ๐Ÿ˜…

-Raiders = ๐Ÿ˜’, but I'm not petty enough to shortchange myself and miss out. ๐Ÿ˜

-Getting paid $1 for two fountain drinks (yes, they literally opened the register and handed us $1 to take them) and paying $12 for four Little Caesars pizzas wasn't a bad way to wrap up the outing.

-Dance game time at home now ⬅️⬇️⬆️➡️๐Ÿ˜

Travel Dance Pad THAT FITS IN A CARRY-ON BAG

Wanting to combine our hobbies of dance gaming and traveling, Sean and I decided to put together a 4-panel travel pad for on-the-go dance gaming. The only problem was that all the travel pads we'd seen to date were still too big to fit into carry-on bags and therefore impractical for our purposes of cheap travel and ultra mobility. The solution was simple enough though: take the existing plans for a travel pad, make it, and pretty much just cut it into two stackable halves. Following our dance game bud Sujeet's guide, utilizing free 3D printing services at the library (yep, some libraries off free 3D printing. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Pretty cool!), and combining Sean's and my ingenuity, we made it happen! At the time of this writing, we've been on four domestic and transatlantic flights with it. While, full transparency, it's only juuuust within the carry-on size allowance of most US carriers and barely fits in overhead bins (which could be solved by making the pad just a tad smaller), we've had no problems thus far. Anyway, without further ado, huge credit to Sujeet whose guide we followed for most of this and Sean for much of the rest as well as for working on this with me and video editing and uploading, and go check out the video!:
